Cord-cutters
Cordcutters[edit]
In FAGC, doxing isn’t allowed — but if you piss someone off, it might still happen.
This guide is for anyone trying to separate their online identities — or nuke them altogether. Whether you’re doing OSINT resistance, shitposting under a handle, or just trying to keep your real life unlinked, the goal here is to reduce cross-contamination between platforms.
The Basics[edit]
Every account you create, every message you post, every avatar you upload leaves metadata. This metadata forms patterns, and patterns get linked. “Cordcutting” is the process of isolating or severing those links before someone else does it for you.
Rules for Anonymity[edit]
- No cross-platform usernames: Never reuse the same handle across Discord, Reddit, YouTube, Twitter, etc. If you’ve already done this, stop using it and start clean. Assume it's tainted.
- No links in bio: Don’t post your Twitter in your Discord bio. Don’t share your Twitch on your YouTube. Every link creates a bridge, and bridges are how people walk into your identity.
- No location talk: Don’t say where you live, where you grew up, or your timezone. People will triangulate even off vague jokes or context.
- Avoid personal images and voice unless you're fully compartmentalized: Reverse image search is instant. Audio leaks can tie to known samples in places you didn’t consent to.
- Avoid giving out consistent interests: If you talk about obscure music, niche games, or politics, don’t repeat it under multiple aliases.
Leak Search Tools[edit]
Before you assume you’re in the clear, search for yourself like someone else would.
- IntelligenceX – Deep search for exposed emails, usernames, or phone numbers
- Snusbase – Database search engine with breach and leak datasets (registration required)
- Have I Been Pwned – Check if your email has appeared in breaches
- Dehashed – Paid leak lookup engine with powerful filtering
Use these to verify if old accounts or aliases have already been compromised.
Compartmentalization[edit]
If you're operating multiple identities (alts, sockpuppets, or handles tied to different communities), treat each as if they belong to a stranger. This means:
- Unique email address per identity
- Unique password (ideally via password manager)
- No shared writing style, slang, or memes
- No logging in from the same browser profile or IP
Final Notes[edit]
Cordcutting is not about being perfect — it’s about removing the obvious breadcrumbs. Even if you think you have “nothing to hide,” others may decide otherwise.
If you're building a clean identity for activism, ops, or private discussion, this is where you start.
